Morrisville is located in central North Carolina equal distance from Raleigh and Durham. With a population of about 14,000, Morrisville enjoys easy access to I-40, I-540, US-1 and is adjacent to Raleigh-Durham International Airport and Research Triangle Park.  This puts Morrisville in a prime location for businesses and those commuting to RTP.   Its small town appeal, easy access to all parts of the Triangle, education at its best and a highly educated work force makes this town one of the best places in America to live, work and play.

People move to Morrisville for many reasons–excellent Wake County schools, proximity to Research Triangle Park and the Raleigh-Durham area to name a few. Centrally-located between the majestic Blue Ridge Mountains to the west and the legendary Outer Banks and Atlantic Coast to the east, Morrisville enjoys an average year round temperature of 60 degrees.

If you are not from the Triangle region of North Carolina or haven’t been here long, you may not be familiar with Morrisville but you will be soon. More and more people have discovered Morrisville in recent years, making it one of the fastest growing communities in Wake County. A special census conducted in 2004 gave Morrisville a current population estimate of 11,915, almost a 100% increase from the July 2002 Census figure of 6,086. Many new communities are being built in Morrisville (including Twin Lakes, a joint venture between KB Homes & Martha Stewart), giving it a diverse range of housing options with home prices spanning from the low 100’s to the 500’s. The average home price in Morrisville has remained stable at $225,000.

Often called the “Center of the Triangle” for its central location in this dynamic region, it may also become known as the Triangle’s front door. Travelers, visitors and newcomers to the region that arrive by plane through Raleigh Durham International Airport land on the front steps of our community which is adjacent to both RDU airport and Research Triangle Park, one of the world’s most renowned centers for research and development. Morrisville is within a 15-minute drive of Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill.
